The Evansville Otters are looking for a high-energy, crowd-loving personality to bring the hype to Bosse Field! As our Game Day Emcee, you’ll be the voice of the ballpark—keeping fans engaged, delivering promotions, hyping up the crowd, and helping create unforgettable memories. If you’ve got a big voice, quick wit, and love a little spotlight, we want to hear from you!
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-game announcements and promotional reads on the mic with energy and professionalism
- Interact with fans on and off the field—you're part of the show!
- Work closely with our promotions team to execute on-field games and sponsor activations
- Maintain crowd enthusiasm and energy throughout the game
- Represent the Otters’ brand in a fun, family-friendly way
- React in real time to what’s happening on the field and in the stands
- Be comfortable on camera and over the stadium PA system
- Help with setup and teardown of in-game promotions and fan engagement activities
- Assist with tarp pull and removal as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Comfortable and confident speaking in front of large crowds
- Quick-thinking and adaptable in a fast-paced, live entertainment environment
- Clear, articulate speaking voice with strong microphone presence
- Able to connect and engage with a wide range of fans, from children to longtime supporters
- Creative and charismatic, with a good sense of timing and humor
- Able to follow scripts and direction while adding personality to the performance
- Works well under pressure and maintains a positive attitude throughout long game days
Requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Availability for most home games (nights, weekends, and holidays required)
- Previous emcee or performance experience is a plus, but not required
- Comfortable standing/walking for extended periods and moving around the ballpark
- Able to speak clearly and confidently over a PA system
- Team-oriented with a positive, fan-first attitude
- Must be professional, punctual, and reliable
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation
