Polysomnographic Tech - Sleep Lab - Full Time Nights
Job Summary:
- The Polysomnographic Technologist, under the direction of a physician, will be responsible for administering various sleep studies in order to diagnose the type and extent of sleep disorders.
- Performs routine patient assessments, scores sleep records, documents other test results, and collects and transmits biological specimens for analysis. T
- he successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in sleep study preparation and set-up.
- The candidate will be able to follow standard sleep study procedural protocols, perform necessary physiologic calibrations, document observations, implement appropriate interventions, generate accurate reports, and provide patient education and instruction.
Qualifications:
- Must possess above average computer skills with the ability to operate Microsoft Office software
- Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to a certificate or associate degree with an emphasis in sleep technology.
- Must possess current certification by a nationally recognized certification board: Either the Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential
Schedule:
- 36 hours per week: 12-hour night shifts (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.)
- Shift Differentials provided in addition to base rate
- 5% 3 p.m. - 11 p.m.
- 10% 11 p.m. - 7 a.m.
