Primary Role
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for driving growth within Evans core vertical markets by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across the region. This role requires RSM’s to think strategically, excel at building relationships, and be capable of selling complex, multimillion dollar projects in a complex selling environment. Our opportunities evolve over long sales cycles, offering earning potential throughout the entire process.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Evans’ core vertical markets within the region
- Identify potential new projects and guide them through the long and complex sales cycle (can be 18 months in length)
- Strengthen existing client relationships reinforcing the Evans brand and reputation as the world leader in custom control room solutions
- Leverage the latest selling technology including Evans’ proprietary CAD-based design software and CRM system.
- Sell not only consoles, but the full suite of services offered for mission critical control rooms
Other duties include
- Support cross-functional teams with additional activities as needed
- Maintain and build competitive market knowledge
Qualifications
- Experience within one of more of Evans’ targeted vertical markets is strongly preferred
- Proven record of quota attainment and regional growth and documented sales strategies
- Demonstrated ability to use technology effectively throughout the selling process
- Strong understanding of the targeted sales region
Education & Experience
- Minimum of three years of sales experience in a complex selling environment
- College degree preferred; however, strong, demonstrated success is more important than formal education
