Duties
- Safely operate bucket trucks and aerial lift equipment to access trees and landscape features at various heights
- Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal using chainsaws, rigging techniques, and arborist rigging tools
- Rig trees or branches for removal or pruning using arborist rigging techniques to ensure safety and precision
- Follow strict safety protocols during all operations, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to OSHA standards
- Maintain equipment such as chainsaws, bucket trucks, and rigging gear in excellent working condition.
Experience
- Familiarity with GIS technology and its application in landscape or tree management projects
- Hands-on experience with bucket trucks or aerial lifts in an outdoor setting
- Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques, tree removal procedures, and plant pruning care
- Demonstrated ability to operate chainsaws safely and effectively in various outdoor environments
- Understanding of safety protocols related to climbing, rigging, and heavy equipment operation
- Growing experience in horticulture or dendrology (the study of trees) is a plus but not mandatory
