Responsibilities:
- Inspect diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, and other vehicle components to diagnose issues accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as checking batteries, and lubricating parts to ensure vehicles operate efficiently.
- Repair or replace faulty parts such as pistons, bearings, gears, valves, and other components.
- Use diagnostic tools to identify problems with engines or vehicle systems.
- Align wheels and axles using appropriate tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair diesel engines effectively.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for equipment repair.
- Familiarity with tractor-trailers and their components.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Certification in diesel mechanics is a plus.
