Brecon Village is looking for a compassionate and energetic Adult Day Personal Assistant to join our Memory Support Center team. In this unique role, you'll combine hands-on caregiving with meaningful life enrichment, supporting individuals living with memory loss through personal assistance, engaging activities, and genuine relationship-building. Sign-On Bonus: $3,000.00
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm. No holidays or weekends required!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide medication reminders in accordance with care plans and facility policies
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition
- Assist with meal service, feeding when necessary, and encourage proper nutrition and hydration
- Maintain accurate documentation of care and services provided
- Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for residents
- Engage and lead residents in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities
- Follow all safety, infection control, and emergency procedures
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and assisting residents with mobility
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or a healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care and senior support best practices
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm
- Strong observation and problem solving skills
- Creative and engaging when leading activities and encouraging participation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and reliability
- Ability to work independently and with a team to accomplish tasks
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
