Summary

The Human Resource (HR) & Operations Analyst should be multi-talented and a great multi-tasker as this role has functions in human resources, operations, and business administration. This individual will analyze HR/Operations data, metrics, and statistics, as well as administration of area processes such as recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, tracking standardization and documentation of organizational policies and procedures and support of performance management and employee systems. The HR/Operations Analyst holds knowledge, proficiency, and skills in the day-to-day operations for the denominational team's ministry efforts and uses data gathered to support management and leadership in making informed and objective business and policy decisions.


Essential Functions

Collaborates with Operations team leaders to understand management objectives and to identify relevant data and metrics from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS), payroll outputs, employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, Salesforce, and other sources.

  • Conducts research, documents findings, and prepares reports for use in making decisions.
  • Assists with the documentation and standardization of new processes and procedures to enhance operations and HR.
  • Organizes, complies, updates data and documents for the Operation and Governance functions.
  • Manages relationships with vendors to ensure organization is always in good standing.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and on-demand training, continuing education, and employee assessments. assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensures, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Provides administration support of human resource programs, governance, and Operations team initiatives.
  • Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
  • Supports with administrative duties related to ensuring that the office is operating smoothly.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Ministry Services for Operations or the Executive Director of Operations.
Requirements:

Education and Experience:

Required: Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of experience or equivalent with 3 years of experience in an Office Management, Operations or HR team roles. Previous roles involving strong customer service emphasis supporting a variety of constituents is also desired. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows applications and web technologies is also desired.

Preferred: Personal engagement in a ministry/nonprofit setting.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and accomplish multiple tasks with conflicting priorities and timelines.
  • Maintains an elevated level of accuracy in the preparation of documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Works well with people at different levels of the organization.
  • Team player and desire to assist others.

Environment Conditions;

Must be able to work occasionally on weekends for meetings. Able to work well in professional office setting, and occasionally work in remote locations. Must be willing to engage in domestic travel, occasionally. Must be versatile and able to work for prolonged segments sitting or standing. Must engage frequently with office tools and equipment, such as: computer, copier, phone, web-conferencing equipment, printers, etc. Must be able to occasionally lift or move items, less than 35lbs.
