Key Responsibilities:
- Answer phones and communicate clearly with attorneys, clients, and court personnel
- Conduct client intake and prepare initial case files
- Open, organize, and distribute incoming mail and email
- Draft and file legal documents through New Jersey e-Courts
- Schedule and calendar client conferences and case deadlines
- Manage case files throughout their lifecycle, including closing and archiving
- Provide daily status updates to the firm President
- Minimum 2 years of paralegal experience (criminal law experience preferred)
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Adobe)
- Familiarity with case management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities
- Adaptable to new technologies and fast-changing legal processes
