Duties
- Use hand tools, power tools, and sewing machines to upholster furniture frames with foam, batting, fabric, or leather.
- Sew drapery panels, curtains, valances, and other window treatments with accuracy and finesse using industrial sewing machines.
- Measure, cut, and assemble fabric or upholstery materials according to project specifications.
- Prepare furniture pieces by removing old upholstery and repairing or reinforcing frames as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency during manufacturing processes.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring all seams are secure and upholstery is smooth without wrinkles or defects.Qualifications
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, sewing machines, and upholstery equipment in a manufacturing or custom upholstery setting.
- Strong sewing skills with the ability to operate industrial sewing machines confidently.
