Responsibilities:
Represent public entities in civil rights and police litigation (including Section 1983 matters).
Manage discovery, case files, and trial preparation from start to finish.
Conduct in-depth legal research and draft persuasive motions and briefs.
Provide strategic advice and advocacy in state and federal courts.
Work in a hybrid environment – primarily remote with occasional onsite commitments.
Qualifications:
10–15 years of litigation experience, including significant work on civil rights and police cases.
Proven trial experience in Section 1983 matters.
Admission to the State Bar of California (required).
Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently.
