An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Ammonia Refrigeration Technician / HVAC/R Service Technician to join a growing team in San Francisco, CA. This role involves working with a wide range of industrial and commercial HVAC/R and ammonia refrigeration systems, performing diagnostics, repairs, and providing high-quality service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on ammonia refrigeration and HVAC/R systems
- Conduct diagnostics and determine root causes of system issues
- Communicate service results, repair recommendations, and preventative maintenance options to customers
- Ensure efficiency, system safety, and operational reliability
- Maintain strong safety practices in fast-paced industrial environments
Education, Skills & Experience
- 3 years of experience with ammonia refrigeration systems (required)
- Experience with commercial/industrial HVAC/R or electrical mechanics preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- EPA HVAC/R certification is a plus
- Technical school, college, or HVAC/R certification preferred
- Ability to read electrical schematics, drawings, and use hand tools
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED required
