What are the responsibilities and job description for the Independent Courier Contractor position at EV EXPRESS DELIVERY SERVICES LLC?
EV EXPRESS DELIVERY SERVICES LLC is a contractor for the United States Postal Service. We provide contract delivery services for rural areas.
We are looking for a sub-contractor in Orland, CA to work 2 days a week for our Highway Contract Route. You are required to use your own vehicle. The vehicle size must be a Mini SUV or Minivan.
Routes will be for Mondays and Saturdays. US Postal Service Holidays off
You will be required to fill out the appropriate documentation and have your fingerprints taken.
Duties:
- Sort mail for delivery
- Load and Unload mail and packages
- Write slips for packages that do not fit in the mailbox
- Deliver mail and packages to residences and businesses
- Pick up mail and packages from customers
- Maintain records of package delivery activity
- Perform other related work as required
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Have a valid driver's license
- Own a Mini SUV or Minivan
- Currently have auto insurance
- Clean background and MVR
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, no more than 70 pounds
- Comprehend and respond appropriately to changes in routine
