Eutectix, a leader in the domestic supply of Rare Earth Metals and Alloys, seeks a talented senior metallurgist or metallurgical engineer with 10-15 years of manufacturing and customer facing experience to lead its Phoenix, Rare Earth Metals & Superalloy Facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in scale-up and production metallurgy, including pyrometallurgy and thermite-type reactions, as well as an advanced degree. Overseeing both production and capital projects, this individual will lead a dedicated team of engineers and operators that have maintained this business unit’s world-wide recognition for the supply of REE metal and superalloys across decades. This role reports directly to the CEO, a PhD metallurgist with a distinguished commercial background, and will also have dotted-line reporting to the company’s operations group. This is an opportunity to manage the recommission, reinvestment and optimization of rare earth metallothermic metallization and alloy production for critical supply chains. A background in lean manufacturing operations, demonstrated metallurgical innovativeness, and comfort with inside sales required. Experience with vacuum metallurgy, superalloys, process design, and capital equipment sourcing preferred. The position will include supervision of production scheduling, maintenance, site safety, quality, and other operating responsibilities.
