We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Science Teacher to join our team at Eustace Independent School District. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the scientific method and the ability to convey complex scientific concepts in a way that is engaging and understandable for students at the secondary level.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a curriculum and lesson plans that will foster knowledge and skills essential to effectively teach students in the grade level assigned.
2. Engage students to ensure a lively classroom atmosphere.
3. Instruct students in the principles of scientific method, including laboratory experiments.
4. Evaluate student performance regularly and provide feedback.
5. Maintain discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and positive environment for all students and staff in accordance with school policies.
6. Ensure the safety and security of students through close supervision of students in all school-related activities.
7. Foster a classroom climate conducive to learning and personal growth.
8. Develop innovative approaches to teaching and make learning an enjoyable experience for students.
Qualifications:
1. Valid teaching certification.
2. Proven experience as a Science Teacher at the secondary level.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Strong knowledge of scientific concepts and the scientific method.
5. Ability to create an inclusive environment that respects diverse talents and ways of learning.
6. Ability to engage students and inspire them to learn.
