Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our team at Eustace High School. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing preventative services, emergency care, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions to our student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate and treat athletic injuries and illnesses under the direction of a physician.
2. Develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs for athletic injuries.
3. Provide first aid or emergency care to injured athletes.
4. Educate athletes, coaches, and parents about injury prevention, conditioning, and sports safety.
5. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all athletes.
6. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to plan or implement treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
Skills:
1. Excellent knowledge of athletic training principles and practices.
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
5. Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner.
6. Proficient in the use of athletic training equipment and technology.
Certifications:
The candidate must hold a valid certification and be licensed, or eligible for licensure, as an Athletic Trainer in our state. A CPR and First Aid certification is also required.
