Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Diesel Mechanic, Hands-on Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in servicing and repairing cars, and trucks. This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably. As a hands-on supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, mentor technicians, and ensure adherence to safety standards while delivering exceptional vehicle and equipment maintenance services. Your expertise in diesel engines, and automotive systems will drive the success of our maintenance department and keep our operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring timely repairs and preventive maintenance of cars and, trucks
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals
- Lead fabrication tasks such as welding, assembly, and equipment modifications to improve operational efficiency
- Utilize power tools and hand tools for mechanical repairs including shocks & struts, tires service, alignment adjustments, and HVAC systems
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to heavy lifting, welding operations, electrical repairs, and equipment maintenance
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and service schedules to support ongoing fleet reliability
Experience
- Demonstrated expertise in diesel engine repair, vehicle systems diagnostics, and automotive electrical system repair
- Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and assembly of machinery components
- Familiarity with schematics interpretation for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues.
- Prior supervisory experience leading a team of technicians in a fast-paced environment is a plus

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
