Shop Operations and Maintenance Technician (Automotive Shop Support)

European Performance and Repair – Vero Beach, FLEuropean Performance and Repair is seeking a Shop Operations and Maintenance Technician to help maintain the organization, functionality, and efficiency of our automotive repair facility.This role is focused on facility maintenance, organization, and operational support to help keep technicians productive and the shop running smoothly.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working around cars, tools, and equipment, and who takes pride in maintaining a well-organized professional facility.This is NOT primarily a cleaning position. While maintaining shop order is part of the role, the primary focus is facility upkeep, organization, and operational support for the shop team.Core Responsibilities:Facility Maintenance: Maintain and monitor the overall condition of the facility including:Basic building maintenance tasks.Minor repairs and upkeep.Monitoring fixed shop equipment condition.Assisting with coordination of contractors when needed.Identifying maintenance issues before they become problems.Shop Organization: Help maintain a professional and efficient shop environment by:Organizing shop equipment and shared tools.Maintaining organized storage areas.Managing shop supply areas.Maintaining order in work areas and shared equipment zones.Supporting shop layout and workflow improvements.Operational Support: Assist technicians and management with tasks that improve productivity, including:Managing trash and recycling in shop areas.Monitoring recycled materials for scheduled removal.Maintaining safe and clean floors and walkways in work areas.Assisting with moving vehicles when needed.Keeping staging and parking areas organized.Equipment & Tool Oversight: Help maintain shop tools and equipment by:Monitoring condition of shared equipment.Assisting with equipment maintenance.Keeping specialty tools organized and accessible.Reporting repair needs to management.What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who:Is highly organized and detail-oriented.Is self motivated.Takes pride in maintaining an efficient work environment.Has mechanical aptitude or facility maintenance skills.Is dependable and self-motivated.Can identify problems and address them proactively.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to move throughout the shop during the day.Comfortable working in an automotive shop environment.Compensation:$18 to $22 an hour. Compensation based on experience.Work Schedule:Part-time 7am to 1pm Monday thru Thursday (hours can be flexible if needed).Full-time opportunities may be available depending on the candidate.About Us:Family owned and operated serving the Treasure Coast for over 16 years.
