Job Description
- Hands-on execution of in vivo studies involving infection, monitoring viremia, monitoring immune response and tissue collection.
- Proficiency in preparation and dosing of agents via multiple routes of administration (including IM, PO, IP, SC, IN, and IV).
- Evaluation and implementation of novel in vivo techniques and technologies.
- Detailed record keeping of all experimental information in electronic lab notebooks.
Handling of HIV materials is a requirement in this role.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree with biological sciences, toxicology, or a related field with direct experience with animal handling (small mammals)
- Experience with injections via the intraperitoneal (IP) and intracranial (IC) routes, intramuscular (IM), intravenous (IV), and subcutaneous (SQ) routes of administration.
- Experience with observations of physical signs, differentiating and understanding normal animal behavior and behavior induced due to compound effects.
- Experience with gross examinations and necropsy.
- Knowledge of cGMPs and experience working in a GMP environment.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
