Job Description

We are seeking a Computational Biology Associate to support bioinformatics data analysis for therapeutic research and development. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to analyze large-scale biological datasets and contribute to scientific innovation. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and passionate about applying computational tools to advance drug discovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to curate and ingest omics datasets using modern data models and ETL pipelines.
• Develop and automate data processing workflows for laboratory and omics data (e.g., NGS, proteomics, spatial transcriptomics).
• Implement analytical pipelines to support early-stage drug target identification and evaluation.
• Communicate scientific findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates on project progress to supervisors and collaborators.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, or a related field with 2–3 years of relevant post-graduate experience in drug discovery or translational research; or
• Master’s degree in a related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in analyzing bulk and single-cell transcriptomics, proteomics, and other omics datasets.
• Hands-on experience with Python, R, SQL databases, and GitHub.
• Strong problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for tackling challenges in drug R&D.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in Neuroscience.
• Experience with AI/ML methods or large language models (LLMs).
• Authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Details:
This is a full-time position based on a first-shift schedule (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.), with overtime as needed. Candidates within a commutable distance to Boston, MA are strongly encouraged to apply.
