Eurofins companies offer a portfolio of over 200,000 analytical methods to evaluate the safety, identity, composition, authenticity, origin, traceability and purity of biological substances and products.In 2021, Eurofins generated total revenues of EUR 6.72 billion, and has been among the best performing stocks in Europe over the past 20 years.Job DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities: •    Perform routine and non-routine tasks under general supervision to the satisfaction of the Supervisor and/or Senior Microbiologist  •    Assist in conducting experiments and studies involving various organisms, including pathogens, and Clostridium botulinum •    Use aseptic techniques for microbial transfers •    Apply microbial identification and enumeration techniques •    Accurately perform plate counting on various agars and microorganisms  •    Accurately prepare media and reagents; perform tasks such as plate pouring, dilutions, and pipetting •    Perform microscopic observations, including direct microscopic counts, Gram stains, and wet mounts •    Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure they remain in good working condition. •    Assist with labeling, packing, and shipping of materials (e.g., isolates, equipment). •    Identify and report equipment and facility improvement needs to the supervisor •    Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment. •    Follow all relevant SOPs, standard methods, and protocols as instructed •    Maintain accurate and organized laboratory and experimental records •    Communicate effectively with all staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment •    Perform other duties as assigned  Qualifications•    4-year applicable degree •    2-3 micro lab experienceOther Factors: •    May work with potentially hazardous substances •    Work requires use of PPE (personal protective equipment) •    Work requires some standing and sitting for long periods of time •    Work may require lifting of weights of up to 40 lbs •    Overtime, weekend and holiday work as required •    May include second shift work    •    Will be exposed to potential food allergensAdditional InformationShift: Tuesdays- Saturdays, 8am-4:30pmPay: $21/hour; 5% diff on top of base wage.Excellent full time benefits including comprehensive medical coverage, dental, and vision optionsLife and disability insurance401(k) with company matchPaid vacation and holidaysEurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company, providing a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries, to make life and our environment safer, healthier and more sustainable.
