Eurofins Microbiology Laboratories and Eurofins SF Analytical Laboratories are seeking a motivated Project Manager to drive a portfolio of laboratory expansions and lab integrations. This role will report into the the Business Unit Manager of our SF Analytical New Berlin business, but will spend a significant amount of time also supporting projects in our Eurofins Microbiology businesses.
Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects while serving as the main point of contact between clients and laboratory operations. Key duties include managing timelines, budgets, and quality standards; facilitating communication; tracking project progress; and handling client requirements, which may involve technical information, project updates, and financial aspects. Overnight travel will be required up to 2-3 nights per week.

Responsibilities Include
Project execution
- Oversee all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery from start to finish.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, managing expectations, providing updates, and ensuring client requirements are met.
- Track project financials, manage purchase orders and invoices, and monitor budget adherence.
- Define project scope
- Manage timelines
- Proactively identify and address potential issues like scope creep to ensure timely completion.
- Ensure projects meet all required quality and compliance standards, including Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) provisions as applicable.
- Maintain accurate project records
- Prepare reports, and document project communication and outcomes.
- Work with various teams, including laboratory operations, commercial staff, and senior management, to ensure projects run smoothly.
Key skills and qualifications:
- Previous experience in project management or a similar role is required.
- Ability to understand and interpret technical information related to the specific project area.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and internal staff.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, track details, and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to identify problems and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Integrate LEAN, 5S principles for pertinent routine testing especially for relocation of testing to other lab sites outlined.
- Extensive knowledge of Excel, MsWord, Powerpoint, MS Project is required
- Bachelor of Science in a technical field is required.
- Certification in Project Management preferred
- 3 years’ experience in a lab testing or related technical area with a proven track record of success required
- Willingness to travel up to 3 days per week to meet project deliverables
