Position Overview:
The Picker/Inventory Specialist is responsible for accurately picking, staging, and organizing inventory to support production and order fulfillment. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate inventory counts, ensuring materials are readily available, and supporting overall warehouse efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and stage materials for production and customer orders based on pick lists.
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory counts.
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming materials and supplies.
- Maintain inventory accuracy in the system by updating counts and reporting discrepancies.
- Organize warehouse storage areas for efficiency, safety, and cleanliness.
- Assist with packaging and preparing orders for shipment when needed.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) as trained.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior warehouse, inventory, or material handling experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable using inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
- Forklift certification a plus (training can be provided).
