Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical components.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to identify faults accurately.
- Conduct welding (including
welding), fabrication, and repair tasks to restore equipment functionality. - Operate field service vehicles and tools like scissor lifts to access elevated or hard-to-reach machinery safely.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and technical sales personnel to optimize equipment performance and implement upgrades or modifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols related to high voltage, low voltage systems, and industrial electrician practices while performing maintenance tasks.
- Support training initiatives by sharing knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting techniques with team members.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.
Experience
- Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration), and electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation controls.
- Familiarity with schematics interpretation for electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical layouts.
- Experience working with precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Ability to perform welding tasks specific to
welding standards or techniques. - Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot high voltage and low voltage electrical issues safely.
- Field service experience in manufacturing or industrial settings is highly desirable.
