Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, cardiac rhythm analysis, and physiological evaluations to determine immediate care needs.
• Execute advanced procedures such as catheterization, IV insertion, venipuncture, and suturing with precision and aseptic technique.
• Manage acute care situations by administering CPR, basic life support (BLS), and utilizing medical equipment operation skills to stabilize patients.
• Monitor cardiac events through cardiac rhythm monitoring and EKG interpretation to identify critical arrhythmias or emergencies.
• Collect specimens and perform phlebotomy while adhering to safety protocols for specimen collection and patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation using clinical information systems, recording all interventions, observations, and patient responses diligently.
• Collaborate seamlessly with hospital staff to ensure continuity of care and effective communication during patient handoffs.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology understanding, and emergency response procedures.
• Certified in CPR and basic life support (BLS), with additional certifications in advanced life support preferred.
• Skilled in the operation of medical equipment such as EKG machines, pulse oximeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Experience with specimen collection techniques including venipuncture and phlebotomy; familiarity with clinical information systems is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively under pressure in high-stakes situations.
• Strong communication skills to explain procedures clearly and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.96 per hour
