Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join its Hartford, CT. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented professional capable of managing a fast-paced workload while supporting multiple attorneys. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid background in litigation support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide confidential administrative support to attorneys.
- Transcribe, prepare, and edit legal documents.
- Handle federal and state court e-filings.
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel.
- Assist with correspondence and reimbursement processing.
- Answer and direct incoming calls; take accurate messages.
- Sort, distribute, and process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Maintain attorney contacts in Outlook and Interaction.
- Process billing; proofread and edit invoices.
- Maintain confidential legal and administrative files.
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal assistants as needed.
- Assist with general office operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Litigation legal assistant experience required.
- Ability to type 70 words per minute.
- Strong understanding of modern legal office practices and litigation procedures.
- Proficiency in preparing legal documents, legal terminology, and court filing requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of: MS Word, Outlook, Excel Redline comparison tools, BigHand (digital dictation), iManage (document/email management) and E-filing systems
Salary : $55,000 - $75,000
