What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Supervisor/AD Assistant position at Eureka High School?
$30 per hour with no benefits

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting with the organization and supervision of extracurricular activities including athletic programs and events, and assisting the Activities Director with the day-to-day operation of the Activities Office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assumes responsibility for the supervision of extra-curricular athletics.
- Assists in the daily supervision of students.
- Assist with the scheduling of the use of all school facilities including the use of the gymnasium and athletic facilities.
- Assumes responsibility for supervision of all non-athletic student activities.
- Promotes good school community relations by keeping the community aware of and responsive to the athletic program.
- Contact for all officials, team physicians and policemen as required.
- Oversees the administration of all home athletic events. Assures that all home athletic events are adequately supervised.
- Assists with after school and away event transportation.
- Checks the game fields for game readiness. Keeps maintenance up-to-date on field preparation requirements. Assist custodians in setting up equipment.
- Be knowledgeable of and follow MSHSAA guidelines and eligibility standards.
- Assists with planning and management of current and new facilities.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the Activities Director.
- Manage the set up and operation of all game day equipment including but not limited to scoreboards and sound equipment.
- Communicate incidents from scheduled events to the Activities Director that involves participants, spectators and parents.
- Address issues or concerns before, during, after contests as relates to the rules that govern the sport and resolve issues
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to visit all school locations as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of clienteles.
- Physical stamina to handle challenging work schedules.
- Respect for students, teachers, parents, and support staff.
- Exercises sound judgment on sensitive issues.
- Ability to attend and lead various events, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to lift moderate weights up to 40 pounds transferring materials to schools.
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of persons in a challenging setting.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or higher required, with a major in educational administration preferred.
- Missouri secondary principal’s certificate preferred.
- At least three years of successful experience as a classroom teacher.
- Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience as a Head Coach or with activities/athletics is preferred
- Consistent and regular attendance
EQUIPMENT USED:
- Standard office equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Within the district and school buildings.
- Ability to work in a variety of locations and travel throughout the district.
- Duties may require working non-traditional hours, including evenings.
- Duties will require the ability to meet the physical demands of handling a variety of student needs.
- Duties will require the ability to sit, talk, hear, walk, stand, see and reach.
