What are the responsibilities and job description for the Videographer/Editor position at Eurasia Group?
Eurasia
Group is looking for a videographer with extensive on-the-job experience
handling and operating professional quality film and audio equipment. You will
primarily shoot material for a weekly digital show, including pre-recorded
elements and live video. The shows are primarily interview-based, hosted by our
analysts and focused on global politics. You will manage our in-office studio
and also do video shoots in the field. Your technical expertise and standard of
quality are critical, but ideally you are also excited to engage with our
producers to shape the visual aesthetic of our shows. The videographer will be
an integral part of a new media venture run out of the Office of the President,
which is the team that supports the firm’s founder, Ian Bremmer in our New York
Headquarters.
Responsibilities:
· Work with our studio
construction company to help build and operate an in-office film studio in our
New York location (in progress)
· Manage all technical
aspects of in-studio shoots, including live and recorded video, lighting,
audio.
· Shoot videos in the
field or in-studio multiple times/week
· Manage the technical
aspect of livestreaming video from our studio or in the field.
· Post-production for the
shows and other video content would be a plus
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in
television/video production or equivalent experience
· 3 years professional
experience in creating short-form videos. Prior live production camera
operation experience is a plus.
· Experience shooting
studio-quality cameras
· Flexible and creative
about finding technology solutions to challenges in studio or in the field
· Experience with lighting
and basic audio recording
· Experience with
Livestream or other livestreaming software/live environments
· Experience as a
Steadicam/ Jib operator a plus
- Expert in Adobe Premiere and familiarity with After
Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator a plus
