Senior Analyst, India (London, New York, or Washington, DC)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated analyst of Indian politics and political economy to be based in the firm's London, New York, or Washington, DC offices. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of Indian political economy.
In this position, you will be the lead interlocutor with clients on Indian affairs. This will include Indian domestic politics, economic trends/sectoral developments, and where relevant foreign policy issues. You will conduct in-depth research on both current developments and future trends. You will lead coverage on India relevant to Eurasia Group's financial, corporate, and government clients.
You will have excellent research capabilities as well as analytic and writing skills, at native English standard. You understand deadlines and manage competing demands on your time. You will also have an understanding of Pakistan and Sri Lanka’s domestic political and economic environment, including relationships within the region. While India will be the main focus, you will need to research, write, and advise on Pakistan and Sri Lankan affairs.
You will have at a minimum an advanced degree (MA preferred) in political science or other relevant discipline. You will also have a minimum of 7 years-experience working on India politics. You will have at least 2 years of field experience living in India. Previous experience in the financial or consulting sector is preferred.
