Summary:
Eurasia Group in the middle of a Digital Transformation. The Director of IT Infrastructure will play an important role in ensuring the successful launch of new solutions and enhancements, supporting end-user adoption, and continually evaluating and updating the strategy to modernize the business and provide services and solutions that will help a lean business run as efficiently and smoothly as possible.
The Director of IT Infrastructure is accountable for the overall technical direction and support of the IT Infrastructure of Eurasia Group. The primary objectives of the position will be to drive quality in Eurasia Group’s technology operations, develop a service orientation, and position and enable the company for growth though digital scale. The Director’s charter is to ensure the smooth running of all of Eurasia Group’s Technology Infrastructure. Direct and appropriately participate in the vision, planning, design, implementation and support of all network, IT data center, data and analytics, telephony, security and IT operations. This leader will manage a small team of engineers including those via external partners, an MSP partner, and several vendors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee the 24/7/365 operation of Infrastructure including telecommunications, workstations, end-user computing and support, service desk, telephony and video teleconferencing, data bases, and cyber security.
- Oversee the vision, direction and support of all IT infrastructure, internal/co-location/cloud data centers, networks, disaster recovery, and vendor management as it relates to global networks, server and storage management, end-user telecommuting/collaboration, telephony, video conferencing, and security.
- All management of the outsourced and third-party vendors for IT services, support, products, and integration; including their coordination as necessary.
- Establish technical standards, regarding platforms, frameworks and road maps; ensure that the technical standards are communicated and used effectively throughout application development. Provide leadership to ensure that the portfolio of applications is fundamentally sound and fully integrated.
- Provide leadership over existing and new programs, policies and procedures for IT Infrastructure operations and IT Security. Continuously work to improve the IT Infrastructure organizations’ operation through evaluation and implementation of industry best practices, benchmark analysis and metrics. Solid project management skills are a must.
- Effectively and regularly communicate upgrades and changes to the end-user community.
- Support the corporate innovation agenda by creating a dynamic IT organization and environment.
- Effectively manage the expense and capital budget, ensuring that the system requirements are known and socialized through effective planning and communication with the stakeholders, including an agreed-upon prioritization process that reflects the company goals.
- Manage IT resource requirements to ensure appropriate balance between tactical and strategic demands.
- Motivate and lead an organization that effectively supports the business by hiring, developing and retaining highly qualified staff.
- Manage the IT Infrastructure Budget and make adjustments as necessary.
- Handling in-person queries/tickets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Project management skills and experience.
- IT Service Management experience: ITIL processes, especially Service Desk, incident, problem, change and asset management.
- Vendor management experience: Manage day-to-day operations relationships, longer term relationship strategy and Infrastructure architectural strategy
- IT Infrastructure technical acumen: Cisco and Microsoft products primarily
- Security strategy, implementation and operations experience.
- Experience negotiating multi-million-dollar vendor contracts

Supervisory Responsibilities
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Education and/or Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university and minimum ten years related experience in management and IT. Experience working in rapid growth, dynamic organizations is a plus.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations, to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals, and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, employees, and the general public.
