Associate Producer, GZERO Media

GZERO Media is seeking an Associate Producer for our flagship show, GZERO World with Ian Bremmer, based in our NYC headquarters in the Flatiron district.  The ideal candidate will have an existing interest/background in geopolitics and should have strong views about the term “globalist” – though we don’t care where those views fall. You will be game to dive right into the madness of on-location interviews with world leaders and you’ll do so with an eye for details. Experience with field producing and digital publishing on a variety of platforms, particularly on YouTube and Facebook is extremely, extremely, encouraged. 

You (yes you!) will directly support the Senior Producer in planning and supporting all stages of production, including but not limited to: researching and pitching content ideas, booking guests, coordinating with freelance production crews, field producing, designing assets like thumbnails and prepping video exports for publication.  You will be responsible for advance planning and managing the wide range of logistics required for show production, and will be comfortable making quick decisions on the fly, given that most of our filming and production happens on location around the world. Many shoots are in NYC and DC, but recent shoots also include Tokyo, Munich, and Mountain View, CA.  Travel is likely. Overall, you will be exposed to, if not directly involved in, all aspects of production and will have the opportunity to make significant impact.

Qualifications:

•             2 years of broadcast and/or digital video production, including field production

•             Experience with digital publishing and an active presence on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter etc

•             Experience with Adobe Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, Photoshop, AfterEffects, Illustrator

•             Familiarity with media management a plus

•             Guest booking experience

•             Good writing skills (show scripts and marketing copy) and editorial judgement

•             Highly organized, acute attention to detail and a forward planner

•             Comfortable juggling complex logistics and timelines

•             A passion for geopolitics and current events is a must
