What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate, Global Macro, Office of the President (New York) position at Eurasia Group?
Eurasia Group is looking for an Associate to join the Office of the President in the firm's New York office.
In this position, you will work closely with the president and his director of global macro research to manage the president’s editorial priorities and special projects. You will also work closely with analysts in the firm’s Global Macro practice on research assistance at the intersection of international politics and markets.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate all aspects of the editing process for principal’s written deliverables, including weekly client update
- Draft writing assignments as they arise
- Prepare research for debates, speeches, and panel discussions
- Translate written analysis to short-form social media posts
- Project manage VIP client call series, including brainstorming guests, drafting invitations, coordinating logistics, and editing call notes
- Hire and manage interns for Office of the President research needs

- strong ability to tell a story and advance an argument in journalistic (rather than academic) style
- willingness to recognize and set aside personal bias for the sake of analytical integrity
- efficient organizational skills that allow for delivery of high-quality work on deadline
- a knowledge of history, current geopolitics, and political economy
- a keen eye for finding, interpreting, and distilling data, facts, and figures
- an ability to quickly synthesize information and to craft arguments supported by data, facts, and figures
- a quantitative background in statistics is a plus
