Analyst, Germany (London)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated analyst of European politics and political economy. The ideal candidate should have a deep knowledge of Germany, but must also have a broad understanding of the entire European region and key regulatory trajectories in the European Union.  

In this role, you will assess political risk resulting from policy, economic and security developments across the EU with a focus on Germany. Your work will cover multiple countries and business sectors. Therefore, flexibility and adaptability will be required. You will have the ability to analyze sectoral regulatory issues. You will perform in-depth research and will write both short analyses and longer papers. You will frequently brief both private sector and government clients. You will therefore have excellent analytical and presentation (oral and written) skills.

You will also understand the management and coordination of complex research projects. You will ensure the timely delivery of high-quality research products and coordinate the activities of analysts and associates with regard to both research and business development. You understand deadlines and you write in a succinct style at native English standard. 

You will have a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience that displays both your capacity as a researcher and your knowledge of Europe, and an advanced degree in political science or another relevant discipline. You are required to have specialized knowledge of Germany; as such, language fluency in German is required. You must understand the relevance of your research to a broad range of investors and companies. Previous research or consulting experience is preferred.
