Euola is seeking experienced Commercial Painters to support the Dallas VA Medical Center. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a federal healthcare facility performing commercial painting, renovation, and maintenance projects in support of our nation's Veterans.
This position offers stable weekday hours with no scheduled weekends or federal holidays.
Position Summary
Painters perform interior and exterior painting and finishing work for construction, renovation, and maintenance projects throughout the medical center. Work includes patient care areas, administrative offices, common areas, equipment, and facility infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces through sanding, patching, spackling, taping, and finishing
- Apply primers, paints, stains, sealers, and specialty coatings
- Match and mix paint colors
- Paint offices, corridors, patient rooms, dining areas, maintenance shops, and other facility spaces
- Refinish furniture, cabinets, metal fixtures, and equipment
- Install vinyl wall coverings and wallpaper
- Perform glazing, caulking, and basic glass installation
- Assist with signage, stenciling, and pavement markings
- Maintain clean and safe work areas
- Communicate daily with the VA Contracting Officer Representative (COR)
- Complete daily work reports and timecards
Minimum Qualifications
Required
- OSHA Certification
- Commercial painting experience
- Experience with surface preparation and finish applications
- Ability to safely use ladders, lifts, and painting equipment
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication skills
Preferred
- Experience working in hospitals or healthcare facilities
- Government or VA facility experience
- Experience with renovation and construction projects
- Wall covering installation experience
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 40 hours per week (80 hours per pay period)
- Federal holidays off
- Overtime only when approved
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Stand and walk for extended periods

- Work indoors and outdoors
- Bend, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead
