Certified Medical Assistant
Euola, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Occupational Health team in Richmond, VA.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet patients handle telephone calls, schedule appointments, and answer inquiries regarding treatment or prescription refills to make sure each patient has a great experience.
- Prepare exam rooms for patients, ensuring the room is well-stocked and at a comfortable temperature for the patient.
- Discuss patient information, medical history, and the reason for their visit to share with the healthcare staff.
- Take the patient's vital signs including their pulse, body temperature, respiration rate, and blood pressure and record it in their chart.
- Assist healthcare staff with examinations by handing the appropriate medical instrument and supplies to the physician, positioning the patient, and helping with other tasks as needed.
- Draw blood and prepare blood samples for laboratory tests.
- Fill out the appropriate insurance forms and document patient appointments, listing all symptoms, test results, diagnoses, treatment instructions, and prescriptions on the patient records.
Qualifications:
- Must be Certified Medial Assistant with skills/training required by Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Completed an accredited medical assistance program.
- Must have at least 12 months experience within the last 36 months at an outpatient clinical setting.
- Possess basic computer skills to complete administrative tasks.
- Strong communication skills and customer service skills
