Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Teacher at Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter School located in Rochester, NY. The Teacher will plan and deliver lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, maintain an engaging and inclusive classroom environment, and assess student progress to ensure academic success. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with colleagues, communicating with families, preparing students for the Seal of Biliteracy, and fostering critical thinking through project-based learning experiences.
Qualifications
- Experience in Lesson Planning and preparing engaging, effective instructional materials
- Strong foundation in Education and a commitment to continuous professional growth
- Proficiency in Teaching methodologies and Classroom Management
- Effective Communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues
- Background in Training and mentoring is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, with state certification required
- Commitment to fostering bilingualism and promoting social justice in education
- Experience with project-based learning is preferred but not required
