What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Medicine Physician position at Eugene Emergency Physicians?
Eugene Emergency Physicians (EEP) is seeking an Emergency Medicine trained BC/BE physician to join us in the Pacific Northwest. We are a longstanding stable democratic group currently staffing two emergency departments in the Eugene area.
Eugene is a great college town (University of Oregon) with easy access to incredible biking, hiking, snow sports, golf, whitewater rafting.
Both of our clinical sites are in the PeaceHealth medical system and offer a variety of patient populations.
—RiverBend: Level 2 Trauma Center, regional referral center. Over 80,000 visits/year. 8-hour doc shifts. 96 hours of total physician coverage. 3 PAs covering lower acuity patients and fast track. Scribes available. Epic EMR. Full subspecialty coverage.
—Cottage Grove Medical Center: critical access hospital, 30 minutes from Eugene. Single doc coverage with 10 hours PA coverage. 11-hour day shift, 13-hour night. Small inpatient unit on site, most admissions transfer to RiverBend.
Compensation:
Sign on bonus dependent on prior experience, starts at $15,000 for new grad.
Most importantly, we have an excellent profit-sharing plan and contribute 20% of your salary to retirement from day 1.
Our partnership track is based on experience:
—If board-certified: 1-year track, $225/hour plus 20% of salary into profit-sharing retirement account, 13 shifts/month
—If board-eligible: 2-year track, $200/hr Year 1 (15 shifts/month), increase to $225/hour Year 2 (13 shifts/month), 20% into retirement
It’s a great career gig. We offer flexible scheduling and have a nocturnist program with night-shift differential. As partners, most cut back on monthly shifts. There is also a month-long sabbatical program to promote career longevity. We are a collaborative group and help one another out on shift. Our PAs are excellent clinicians.
