EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR EUCLID CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The Euclid Chamber of Commerce is searching for an innovative, take-charge individual to lead the Chamber.
Euclid, The City by the Lake, is home to a diverse group of businesses from large manufacturers such as Lincoln Electric, distributors like Amazon, midsize organizations and smaller grassroots businesses and restaurants. In addition, Euclid fosters opportunity zones, making Euclid an ideal place for new businesses and furthermore an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to propel the businesses in Euclid to the next level.
SUMMARY:
The position reports directly to the Chamber’s Board of Trustees. The director is charged with leading the Chamber in the development of strategic planning to meet the Chambers’ objectives. Key objects for the Chamber include business and community development, strong networking connections, and advocating for the businesses interests and needs. Above all, the director is responsible for ensuring the interpretation and implementation of policy, the development and maintenance of the Chamber structure, as well as membership growth and retention of the businesses within Euclid.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic & Operational Planning
· In collaboration with the Board of Trustees, develops and implements a strategic, long-range plan to advance and further develop the Chamber. Evaluates, measures, and reports effectiveness and progress of implemented plans.
Budgeting & Financial Management
· Revenue generation through membership, sponsorships and events
· Manages events within budget guidelines
Board Relations
· Builds and maintains strong relationships and communications with the Chair of the Board, Executive Committee, and Board of Trustees. Provides the leadership necessary to garner maximum engagement of Board members.
· Continuously evaluates the Chamber’s organization structure. Recommends changes in structure and policy as needed. Reviews Chamber bylaws and assists the Board in the development of policy as needed.
· Collaborates with the Board to identify and manage the Chamber’s relationships with local government.
· With the Board Chair, plans and organizes Executive Committee and Board meetings.
Membership Relations, Development & Retention
· Recruits and retains new and existing members of the Chamber, by working with shareholders/owners/executives of companies and organizations of all types and sizes throughout the Chamber’s market area and is responsible for maintaining the membership at a level necessary to ensure the sustainability of the Chamber.
Program & Services Development
· Analyzes and updates membership services and programs to ensure there is continuous value for current and prospective members that is diverse and inclusive.
· Engages members with various events and resources in person or on-line, maintains a continuous presence via communication and social media. Connects with other local groups to bridge businesses with community members.
· Champions workforce development in the Euclid Community.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business, or 3-5 years proven experience in similar field.
Ability to lead and direct
Proven sales skills
Proven strategic planning experience
Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
High-level proficiency in social media
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional customer service
Flexibility in work hours for evening and weekend events
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
