What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wireless Telecom Technician position at ETV?
Immediate Hire. Seeking highly competent and technically savvy wireless telecom technicians to build and maintain the most sophisticated high performance network infrastructure in the NJ/NY area. Looking for 3 years industry experience to perform all aspects of antenna & line maintenance and installation for wireless telecom provider (example: AT&T, Verizon, etc). Responsibilities include but are not limited to; antenna and line installation, construction, testing and troubleshooting, equipment moving, and equipment operation and any other duties as required.
Candidate will be willing to work long hours, possibly 6 days a week, work outdoors and on rooftops in all type of weather and arrive to HQ in Haledon NJ to load truck and then drive work truck to site usually in NYC or surrounding area. After performing job duties mentioned above, employee will drive work truck back to HQ and organize material/supplies for following day. English and Spanish speaking preferred. CDL preferred. DOT medical card preferred.
Pay is based on experience, skills and in-depth knowledge of telecom installations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- MUST have VALID driver’s license & good driving record
- **MUST have experience with antenna and line installation in TELECOM setting**
- Experience on major carrier builds and modification preferred
- Willingness to travel and work for extended periods of time.
- Ability to read & comprehend Construction Drawings
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized with a strong attention to detail
- Must be able to commute to 07508
- Ability to speak and read English
- Ability to read CDs and interrupt site instructions
- Will NOT pay for relocation, local candidates only
