Ettie Lee Youth & Family Services has served the complex needs of at-risk youth with emotional and behavioral challenges and their families throughout Southern California for nearly 70 years.
Currently, Ettie Lee is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Inland Empire properties.
The Position:
The Maintenance Technician will primarily maintain Ettie Lee’s Inland Empire properties, which include three residential facilities for adolescent males. The Technician may be required to work on larger projects at the Agency’s other San Gabriel Valley, as needed. We are seeking a candidate with well-rounded experience in building and automotive repair and preventative maintenance. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performs repair work in childcare facilities and administrative offices.
- Purchases repair and construction materials that are approved by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Assists with complicated maintenance of construction activities.
- Keeps agency’s vehicles in suitable, running condition.
- Prepares report of maintenance and repair needs of each facility to which assigned.
- Maintaining a safe environment for staff and clients served.

Must have the following qualifications:
- Two years full time paid experience in related field or equivalent.
- Knowledge and use of power tools, hand tools, and material necessary to complete assigned maintenance functions.
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, carpentry and painting.
- Experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall installation, exterior stucco and plaster, sprinkler systems, HVAC, and some automotive mechanical experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks is desired.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass criminal/fingerprinting background check, TB Test, physical exam and drug test
- Must have a valid California Driver’s License, a minimum of 5 years of driving experience and a DMV record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier
- Proof of auto insurance
- Must be 21 years or older
Hours and Shifts:
Hours: Monday – Friday; this position may require after hours/evening work as the needs of the agency dictate.
Status: Full-Time, Non-exempt
Rate: $21.00 /hour
