Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various areas of law, including but not limited to estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, and family law. This position requires excellent negotiation skills, legal research capabilities, and the ability to draft legal documents effectively. The Associate Attorney will work closely with clients and senior attorneys to provide comprehensive legal support and representation.
Duties
- Conduct thorough legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements across various practice areas.
- Assist in litigation processes by preparing cases for trial, including gathering evidence and preparing witnesses.
- Provide counsel on matters related to landlord-tenant law, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, securities law, patent law, tribal law & regulations, and environmental law.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in various legal disputes.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and case progress within the law office.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases to develop effective strategies for client representation.
- Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings as required.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Prior experience in a law office setting is preferred; however, recent graduates with relevant internships will be considered.
- Demonstrated proficiency in legal writing and drafting is essential.
- Familiarity with litigation processes and case management is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
