Duties & Responsibilities
- Arrive to work on time and in proper uniform
- Complete daily tasks as assigned by the head florist
- Help customers select flowers, plants, and arrangements that meet their needs
- Prepare bouquets, arrangements, and other floral designs following company specifications
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the work area
- Stock supplies and materials as needed
- Keep coolers and storage areas organized
- Process incoming shipments of flowers
- Discard any damaged or wilted flowers
- Water plants and flowers as needed
- Assist with event set-up and breakdown
- Deliver flowers and arrangements to customers as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service or related field
- Basic math skills
- Creative flair and artistic eye
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in horticulture, floriculture, or related field
- Experience working in a flower shop or nursery
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $8.50 - $14.00 per hour
