Duties
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment including mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, and irrigation systems to keep the course in top condition
- Perform regular landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and planting to enhance course aesthetics
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues with sprinklers or timers
- Maintain golf course turf health through pest management, fertilization, and soil conditioning while adhering to pesticide safety protocols
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of equipment or materials and use hand tools for detailed landscaping work
- Operate company vehicles safely for transportation of equipment or materials around the course premises
Requirements
- Prior experience in golf course groundskeeping, athletic field maintenance, or landscaping is highly preferred
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and their maintenance is essential
- Ability to operate power tools safely and perform routine equipment maintenance
- Familiarity with pesticide management and lawn care best practices
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely and efficiently
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment including chainsaws and power tools
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to grounds upkeep and safety standards
