Position Summary
- As a Summer Camp Support Staff member, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment for students ranging from Early Childhood to Middle School.
- You will facilitate a variety of recreational, educational, and creative activities designed to promote learning, teamwork, and personal growth.
- As a collaborate team player, you will work closely with Camp Director, camp coordinator, athletic camp coordinator, students, parents, High school Jr. Camp support staff and C.I.T (Counselor in training) parents, and vendors to ensure the smooth execution of daily camp programs.
- Your work will contribute to fostering a positive summer experience for all participants, in line with the values and educational standards upheld by The Village School and Nord Anglia Education.
- Everything we do is connected to our vision to create a generation of resilient and creative global citizens who will change our world for the better.
Engagement and Interaction
- Supervise and engage with students in grades ranging from early childhood through Middle school.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students by adhering to campus Health and Safety protocols.
- Facilitate and support recreational, athletic, and creative activities that encourage student participation and enjoyment.
- Assist with transition times between combination camps as needed and ensure smooth parent drop-off and pick-up process
- Maintain positive and professional relationships and communication with students, parents, colleagues and vendors
Learning and Teaching
- Experience working with young children is preferred
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English
- Proficiency with O365 Tools
Planning and Preparation
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of classrooms and outdoor activity areas
- Help manage daily schedules, attendance and capturing all special needs for assigned grade group (including but not limited to; sending students to clinic per medicine schedules, birthday celebrations, tribe point submissions, etc.)
- Help manage supply and equipment setup for planned activities.
- Follow all camp policies and procedures to maintain a structured and organized camp program.

- Dependable and punctual according to the assigned work schedule.
- Patient and calm when supervising and interacting with children.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.

- One or more years of experience working with children.
