Equipment Operator

We are recruiting for an Equipment Operator working at our Louisiana Station (LAS) cogeneration facility located in Baton Rouge, LA. The LAS site consists of two combustion turbines and generators with associated HRSGs, four conventional steam boiler and two steam turbines. This position will primarily be an auxiliary operator on shift. This position reports directly to the Operations Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

• Make inspection of watch on plant auxiliary equipment, train on plant systems, start up/shut down of plant equipment and LOTO
  
  

Required Skills / Knowledge

• General plant knowledge
  
  

Experience

• 2-3 years working in Operations at a power plant or commiserate educational experience.
  
  

Education Requirements

• Associates degree- Process Technology or similar field of study
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to do walking, reaching, climbing, and lifting (up to 50 pounds). Ability to work in high heat and humidity environments. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to ascend and descend to and from heights in excess of 100 feet. Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive motion activities.
