ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients in detox and residential setting
Diagnose mental health conditions and collaborate with treatment team to develop integrated care plans
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment as needed, and provide ongoing psychiatric support
Collaborate with medical, clinical, and case management staff to ensure coordinated care
Document all services provided in accordance with regulatory and facility standards
Provide crisis intervention support as needed
Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted PMHNP license in Texas
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a focus on psychiatry/mental health
Experience working with patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health diagnoses
Experience in detox and/or residential treatment settings strongly preferred
Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic medical records (EMR)
Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
