WVRC Waukesha is looking for a Veterinary Technician Assistant to support our Emergency department!
The Veterinary Technician Assistant provides key support to the technician and veterinarian staff. Must be friendly, professional and courteous, and capable of handling several tasks at once with frequent interruptions. Must be able to take direction from multiple staff members while adhering to training standards.

Schedule and Compensation:
- This position is for third shift
- 3 twelve hour shifts each week, start time 10-11pm
- Schedule include every other weekend and 4 Holidays per year
- Pay starts at $16.50 an hour and may be higher depending on experience
- Applicable shift differential will apply; 4pm-12a $3.00/hr, 12a-8a $5.00/hr

- Restraining of patients
- Cleaning Kennels, Floors, etc.
- Stocking the treatment areas
- Laundry
- Taking patients outside
- Feeding patients
- Able to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Positive outlook, a passion for providing the highest quality in patient care and the ability to deliver exceptional client service.
- Must have worked or volunteered working with dogs and cats at a clinic, Humane Society, Kennel, or similar
