What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations & Client Support, Licensed Real Estate Agent position at Ethos Real Estate Group?
Company Description
At Ethos Real Estate Group, we're fostering deep relationships with our clients that allow us to serve them in a holistic way. Our approach is rooted in character, transparency, and integrity — not ego or volume.
We believe in doing real estate the right way: honest, ethical, and professional. Our clients trust us because we communicate clearly, serve wholeheartedly, and hold ourselves to the highest standards in every interaction.
We're seeking a licensed real estate agent who wants to grow through partnership — someone who values service over solo hustle and is ready to work alongside an experienced broker in a long-term, collaborative relationship.
The Opportunity
This is a primarily work-from-home position with frequent fieldwork as needed for showings, inspections, and client meetings.
You'll work directly with the Head of Brokerage on his book of business, investing in client relationships, handling day-to-day communication, showings, and transaction-related work. Together, you'll work to deliver an exceptional client experience that would be the envy of the real estate industry. You're also free to continue working with your own clients throughout this partnership.
This is not an employee role — it's an independent contractor partnership built on trust, execution, and shared success.
What You'll Do
- Communicate with clients (text/email/calls)
- Conduct client meetings
- Schedule and conduct property showings, inspections, and walkthroughs
- Coordinate with cooperating agents, escrow officers, and vendors to keep transactions on track
- Support the execution of marketing content, maintain CRM records, and assist with client events and outreach
- Support transaction execution to help ensure timelines are met and details are handled with the utmost care
- Represent Ethos Real Estate and the Head of Brokerage with professionalism, warmth and integrity
The Ideal Candidate
- Licensed California real estate agent in good standing with the DRE and local/state REALTOR® Associations (required)
- Has closed at least 3 transactions in the last 12 months — you know the basics and don't need handholding, and open to training and feedback
- Confident with CAR contracts, MLS systems, and showing properties professionally
- Known for honesty, responsiveness, and ethical professionalism
- Service-driven personality who puts clients first, even when it's inconvenient
- Resourceful problem-solver — you handle issues independently and bring solutions, not just problems
- Calm under pressure: handles stress, last-minute changes, and emotional clients with professionalism and grace
- Organized and detail-oriented — thrives in a fast-moving, high-touch environment
- Ready for a long-term partnership where success is shared and growth is supported
- Located within or adjacent to Orange County California and willing to drive to adjacent counties for fieldwork (Orange County, LA, SD, and Inland Empire)
- Multi-lingual is a plus, but not required
- Has a reliable vehicle and valid CA Driver's License
- Computer, smartphone, internet access, MLS access, and knowledge of how to use these devicdes and systems
Compensation
This is a commission-only, 1099 independent contractor position. There is no base salary or hourly pay.
Compensation is performance-based and structured to reward results:
- You will receive a percentage of commissions from transactions in the Head of Brokerage's book of business that you support
- Growth opportunity: Your split may increase as you demonstrate consistent performance and take on greater responsibility
- Your own clients: Competitive commission structure for your personal production
- Draw available: A modest monthly draw may be offered to provide stability, structured as an advance against future commissions
Income potential is directly tied to transaction volume, execution quality, and the strength of our partnership.
Legal & Compliance
This position is structured in accordance with California AB5 and federal IRS independent contractor guidelines. You will:
- Maintain your own real estate license and professional identity
- Control your schedule, work methods, and client approach, subject to applicable brokerage policy and legal requirements.
- Use your own tools and resources where practical
- Receive commissions based on results, not hours or wages
How to Apply
If you're a service-minded agent who values honesty, professionalism, and partnership — and you're ready to grow with structure and support — we'd love to meet you.
