Ethos is an in-person, peer-led small group program designed to support college men in overcoming pornography and other sexual vice. After a successful launch at the University of Notre Dame, welcoming 150 students during the 2023 academic year, Ethos has initiated its expansion to other campuses. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Notre Dame, IN, for a Head of Technology & Co-Founder. The individual will be responsible for leading the organization's technology strategy and overseeing the implementation of IT infrastructure. Daily responsibilities include managing IT operations, developing long-term IT strategies, and ensuring the optimization and maintenance of technology systems to support Ethos’ growth and impact. As a co-founder, the candidate will collaborate closely with other leadership to shape the organization's vision and objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong experience building and maintaining web and mobile applications, with practical expertise in Python, Django, React Native, and collaborative development using GitHub
- Ability to architect and implement scalable front-end and back-end solutions, integrating APIs, databases, and cloud services to support organizational growth
- Several past projects that involved UI-friendly full-stack development. Ideally mobile apps with React Native.
- Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills, especially in fast-paced startup or co-founder environments. Willingness to be proactive in searching out mentors
- Famililarity with app update environments on Google Play and Apple, able to turn around quick updates based on user feedback.
- Can anonymously aggregate data into interactive dashboards for the internal team.
- Ability to source, manage, and coordinate external contractors or development partners, ensuring high-quality deliverables and alignment with organizational goals
- Strong mission alignment with our curriculum and educational model, with a commitment to building technology that enhances learning outcomes and supports our pedagogical vision
- Ideally a strong familiarity with tech security and penetration testing -- at least enough to manage contractors.
Pay will be decided based on the candidate's resume and development experience. We are willing to compensate for top talent.
