Our New York showroom plays a key role in strengthening relationships with architects, interior designers, retailers and hospitality partners, while bringing the Ethnicraft story and collections to life.
We are looking for an Assistant Showroom Manager to support the day-to-day management of our New York showroom together with the Sales Manager. We are looking for someone who combines hospitality, commercial awareness, operational excellence, and a passion for design. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, client-oriented, thrives in a dynamic showroom environment, and is willing to take on the below responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the daily management and operations of the showroom, ensuring the showroom is impeccably maintained, styled, and aligned with brand standards at all times
- Welcome and engage with interior designers, architects, specifiers, and trade partners in a professional and inspiring manner
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with interior designers, architects, specifiers, and trade partners
- Act as a true brand ambassador by presenting the Ethnicraft collections, materials, and brand story with confidence and enthusiasm
- Guide designers and clients through product selections, finishes and materials
- Provide product knowledge and training sessions
- Support trade clients with project follow-up, quotations, and specification requests in close collaboration with the sales team
- Actively engage with the local A&D community and represent Ethnicraft during industry events, networking opportunities, and showroom activations
- Co-organize and support trade events, product launches, designer meetings, and networking activities within the showroom
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information and interactions in HubSpot CRM
- Coordinate closely with internal teams including customer service, logistics, marketing, and visual merchandising to ensure an outstanding customer journey
PROFILE
- You have an associate’s degree
- Experience in showroom management, and working with interior designers, architects, or a similar client-facing environment is a plus
- You have a commercial mindset
- You are highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- You are naturally hospitable, service-minded, and confident in building long-term professional relationships and you enjoy networking and engaging with the local design community
- You are hands-on, solution-oriented and you can work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team
- You are passionate about interiors, furniture, and architecture
- You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- You have a strong attention to detail
- You are comfortable working with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications. Experience with HubSpot is a plus
- You are flexible and willing to occasionally support events outside regular business hours
