Teaching Assistant
Location: 2407 N. County Road 500 W La Porte, IN, US, 46350
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Lunch: 30-minute unpaid lunch
Duration: 09 Months
Position Overview:
Seeking a Teaching Assistant professional to work onsite at a juvenile correctional facility. The selected candidate will supervise students and support classroom instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
The candidate will be responsible for following daily and weekly lesson plans, maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment, and helping students remain engaged with their educational objectives.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to implement daily and weekly teacher lesson plans in the absence of an educator.
- Ability to create and maintain a positive learning environment conducive to individual student growth and development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Substitute Teaching Permit – preferred.
- Previous experience working with students in an educational setting – preferred.
Salary : $15 - $18
